The Worldview

The way we see the world, especially as our children see it. It is important to differentiate the worldview vs the Biblical Worldview. We need to compare the two.

As parents our job is to impact the way our children see the world–we want to change their way of thinking from the worldview to the biblical worldview.

Why does the Worldview matter from a Woman’s point of view?

Because we want them to excel and be the best for our children, sometimes we get our priorities mixed up. We put sports and academics ahead of Biblical teaching, we need to reevaluate what we are teaching our children and what we are allowing our children to experience.

Back to Bible Basics, which we are not teaching our children, we are allowing others to teach them, even from the church.

We must be intentional about how and when our children are allowed to consume movies, books, and the internet.

It takes work to prepare children/youth to enter that world fully outfitted in the armor of God, with a purpose and a goal.

Intentionally design a biblical worldview education for our youth.

The Biblical World View

A set of beliefs, assumptions, or values based on the Bible that determines how a person lives.

God is the source of all things.

Rebellion against the Creator resulting in sin.

Jesus paid the penalty for sin.

Jesus will make the world new. He conquered sin and death.

Who are the most influential people in a child’s life—they are the ones who they will listen to, i.e. parents and grandparents—we have much work to do!

Rev. Joann Talley

Rev. Joann Talley is a native Washingtonian who was licensed and ordained by Union Temple Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Willie F. Wilson, Pastor Emeritus.

She is retired from Bowie State University, where she served as the Adviser to the Campus Ministry and is the Founder and Pastor of Divine Creations Ministries of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Her educational training is from the Washington Bible College, the University of Maryland University College and is a graduate of Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. Rev. Talley is a certified instructor of the National Sunday School Publishing Board and is Director of the School for Women in Ministry of the National Capital Congress of Christian Education.

Rev. Talley is married to Rev. Clarence Talley, Jr. She is also an entrepreneur, Divine Creations by Joann, a business that specializes in designing and monogramming religious accessories as well as Prayer and Ministerial Aid Baskets for all.
