To provide the techniques of Church Ushering after a Pandemic. Since the COVID-19 pandemic the methods of Church Ushering has to be updated to the new environment to ensure the safety of the congregants. This new and updated course will provide instructions to safely prevent new outbreaks of COVID-19 to the members and staffs in the Church Building.
This course is intended to prevent coronavirus outbreaks in churches and protect the safety, and health of congregants. In the past every church had a friendly open-door policy. In this new day and time, churches must put precautions in place to protect all congregates as they enjoy the worship experience in the church.
Minister Steven E. Norris is a diligent member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church were Rev. Freddie Davis serves as Senior Pastor. Prior to his calling, Minister Norris was very active with the Ushers Ministry. He attended the Catherine E. Mills School of Ushering under the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA). He received the honor of class Valedictorian during the 2002-2003 school years. Minister Norris has demonstrated a true passion for Church Ushering and shares his enthusiasm through leading and teaching. He is former President of the Joint Usher Board at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. He also teaches at the National Capital Congress of Christian Education where he serves as Director, School of Church Ushering. Minister Norris is also currently serving his 3 rd term as the President of the Ushers & Nurses Auxiliary of the National Capital Baptist Convention of Washington, DC and Vicinity. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies at the Lancaster Bible College and Seminary in Greenbelt, MD.
His favorite scripture is Colossians 3:23-24:
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
