Rev. Sheila Lee is a proud native Washingtonian. She has been married to Rev. Terry D. Lee for twenty-eight years. She has earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from “Washington Bible College” in Lanham, MD. and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Care at “Capital Seminary and Graduate School” in Greenbelt, MD. This year, she was ordained as a reverend.
Her love and her gifts for helping and encouraging others have inspired her to serve in many ministries. She is currently the coordinator of the Health and Wellness Ministry, a church that focuses on restoring health to the “Mind,” “Body,” and “Soul.” She is the Director of the “Overcomer Ministry” for The National Capital Congress Christian Education (NCCCE) and is a certified Grief Counselor. She is blessed to have the opportunity to pray and comfort others as a Volunteer Chaplain at Laurel Hospital and UM PG Hospital Center. In 2013, Rev. Sheila and her husband birthed “LOVLEE Tears Ministry, a Spiritual Counseling Center. Rev. Sheila and her husband also served as co-directors for the “Walking in Oneness Couples Ministry” for many years and continue to invest in couples’ lives through teaching and counseling. She is proud to be the President of the “NCBC, Ministers Wives and Widowers Auxiliary.” She is also a faithful member of the “Baptist Ministers’ Wives and Widows Association of Washington, DC, and Vicinity, Inc.”
Rev. Sheila and Rev. Terry are the proud parents of six adult children and eight grandchildren.
Rev. Demeka Lache’ McCleave was born in Spartanburg, S.C. She is a 1996 graduate of TC Williams High School. She earned a BS degree in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007, MDiv degree from Virginia Union University School of Theology in 2010. She accepted Christ at a young age. In her quest to pursue God, God began to reveal His plan for her life. In November 2007, she accepted her call to ministry and was licensed to preach in July 2009 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA. She held the position of Youth Minister at Moore Street Baptist Church, Richmond VA, and currently an ordained minister at Mount Zion Baptist Church Arlington VA, former Pastor Bishop Leonard N. Smith. She is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) licensed under the Virginia Board of Counseling. Demeka is currently employed at the Department of Behavioral Health, prevention/treatment division, Washington DC as a Family Engagement Specialist. She also is the CEO of Beautiful Gate Mentoring Services, LLC where she supports youth and adults with therapeutic and spiritual mentoring.
